We traipsed across the coarse rock as the ocean waves sang us the song of the sea. The tide pools came into view and soon we were each of us a scientist examining specimens. Looking for movement, for life, we found it in anemones, crustaceans, and small fish. Small enough to step on if we weren’t careful, big enough to marvel at with awe and wonder. A meeting of worlds. A crossing of lines. We left there wet and full of abundance. The gift was ours. And we beheld the glory of God.
